Business English + BULATS examination preparation course

BULATS (Business Language Testing Service) is an English proficiency test that was developed by Cambridge University in England. It is an English proficiency that of a global standard that measures English communication ability required in business settings, and can evaluate the 4 language skills that are ‘listening’, ‘speaking’, ‘reading’ and ‘writing’. BULATS is carried out in approximately 130 countries around the world, and is recognized by many companies around the world in their recruiting process. In recent years, even Japanese companies have been using BULATS to assess the English capabilities of their applicants.

The Language School of Victoria University can improve your English conversation skills through telephone business English, and your reading skills by creating business style emails, scanning and skimming business newspapers and magazines. Presentation and report writing techniques are also offered in this course, and is recommended to those who want to use English to further their career opportunities.

Recently in Japan, many foreigners visit for tourism, and there is a growing need for basic English for customer service in restaurants and hotels. This course is aimed at students with intermediate English or a TOEIC score above 550, where students gain necessary qualifications through working at a restaurant in Australia, while studying the English required for customer service in the hotel and restaurant industries. For those who are not yet at the required level of English, they have the possibility of first studying General English, and once the required level has been reached, participate in the Hospitality Industry Traineeship.
